There have been some debate about whether or not myths exist.
To me, it is rather silly because they obviously don't.
Myths in my dictionary mean stories or happenings that do not have factual backing.
The correct question i believe should be : Do we need to tell our children these myths.
I would like to answer in the affirmative and i say so based on two reasons.
The first reason is because it is the very basis of creativity that needs to be instilled in these young minds.
Creativity often dies out as we grow older and it is a shame as thinking out of the box is so vital in problems solving these days.
Myths are important to teach our children and remind ourselves that life isn't always black and white, there are also shades of grey.
The second reason lies in the moral values.
Myths teaches our children that good triumphs over evil and that's why we need to be good people.
Myths do not tell children that dragons exist, children already know dragons exist.
Myths tell our children that the dragons can be beaten.
