well, contract was..

okay? lol.
funny, i don't really have a word to describe it.
wasn't that bad.
wasn't my best paper either.
so i guess,
it would be very much in line to say ThankYou Jesus!
and BYE BYE CONTRACT!
lol,
but it really knocked me out tho.
slept for three hours straight, siao.
haha, oh well.
consti tomorrow.
exam week, please please please be good.
than it would be plans :D
happy plans!

what a difference 5 mins make.

5 mins.
and the spot for the subject is no longer there.
hmm.
worry.
that is what my heart is filled with right now.
hmm.
stress.
hurm.
Dear Lord,
please.
please.
please let it be okay.
please.
my faith is shaky.
please.
Amen.
because in the end,
this road that leads to your final destination is not a single one.
there are other paths.
some rockier.
some steadier.
some which you wish you never had to set foot on.
the same goes to people.
there are people who make you smile.
some who make you cry.
but you owe them everything for who you are today.
even if it was just a smile, a hello or a warm hug,
it matters.
some more than the others.

The taiwan trip does come with a huge price.
Missing one midterm during the trip.
Having one Midterm right after i come back.
Missing one presentation during too!
Ah,

*Exam mode on*

"Here's to you, hoping that someday, you'll realize that I really did care."
the thing about you and me.i realize our radars do not always match.except for the last few months in 2009.
but i'll try my best.and hope you do too.i always fight for what i know is worth it,
but the thing is kid,
i cannot fight forever.
tomorrow will be the last war of this semester.
God bless us all!
一起加油吧!
Praise to the Lord,
Consti was okay too :)
and millions of thanks to St Joseph of Cupertino.
For those who are taking exams,
google his prayers,
he will definitely bless you.
Let's just hope i pass tomorrow's paper.
and then i'll give myself a day off :D
today is the second day of the war.
once done,i'd be one step nearer.
there's always this fear before going in for an exam.
the fear of the unknown.
the fear of difficulty.
the fear of forgetting the important facts.
the fear of failing to suit the examiner's wants.
and once again He tells me,
if you have no fear, how do I show you that I am the Provider and the Comforter?
have faith in Me.
I have NOT given you a spirit of fear.
once again i'm blessed.
consti,here i come! :)
like seriously,
this HAS to be worth it one day.
omg the amount of facts.
the NAMES of the parties.
why can't people have short and decent names?
like Harry Potter or I DUNNO, Brad Pitt or something.
Seriously,
don't these parents pity their kids trying to learn their own name?
and in exams,
omaigosh.
u know when we have to write our names on every piece of paper?
kesian.
haha,
enuff with the ranting,
back to contract.
do pray for me people.

p/s : ugh! i'm missing out on KLOC debate fun ='(

midterm was like a bullet train.
time management problem i suppose ><
oh well,
no to concentrate on legal method assignment,
consti and contract,
and malaysian studies.
and to try not to scratch my finger again.
aiyo.
and to immerse myself in the news!
the reports on the BERSIH rally provides me with endless amusement.
Since it prevented me from going home,
mind as well enjoy the humor from.
dinner thn law lib!
shall update soon :)

goals.

and its been awhile since i've actually trully set a goal for myself.

infact,i've been so insecure of my abilities for the past few years that i've ever dared to set up a goal for myself.

as of today,

i have 3 targets to hit.

1) first class for sem 1 of degree

2) national novice debate.

3) weight control.

frankly,

it seems kinda out of my reach.

but i'll try.

and if people laugh at me if i fail,

i'll just walk with my head held high.

cause i fought.

and that's all that matters.

and once again,it hits me.when i'm unaware,when i'm off guard.when i didn;t even know it could hurt me.

it strikes again.
Hello people.
I apologize for being MIA for such a long span of time.
Lack of inspiration has placed me on a writer's block mode.
Anyway,
i am now officially a first year DEGREE student!
*claps claps claps*
and whoever who said the first year is the honeymoon year is either
a) a crazy nutcase genius
b) a crazy nutcase that does not care about the future
c) has enough money to last the a lifetime.
My Lord,
it is NOT easy at all.
The sight of the thickness of my books (and the pricing)
and the number of those thick books is enough to make alarms bang crazily in my brain and give me palpitations and make me hyperventilate.
okay fine, that may be a teeny weeny bit exaggerated,
but seriously.
degree is so NOT a piece of cake.
The assignments are scary.
The amount of things that i realize i do not know is also scary.
Meh.
I have midterms in two weeks and i feel like the semester barely started.
haha.
my favourite subject for now has got to be constitutional law.
i have an awesome-oh-so-knowledgeable lecturer which makes you wanna learn more instead of fleeing to the other end of the world when you open a consti text book.
he;s cool like that.

.
.
.
on a different note,
i joined DEBATE!
for REAL!
i really hope i can make it for real this time.
I am not aiming to be a super world debater or even national debater for that matter.
it would be nice if i can make it on to the team,
but what's more important is that i learn to be comfortable with myself expressing my views and opinions.
and of course,
to have a view and an opinion.
to achieve that i have to start to be this religious news reader and an avid reader of all those "grown up" books.
woah.
imagine me saying that.
the only books i used to read were textbooks and story books.
the trainer BC was very motivational that night.
he taught me that believing in myself is vital.
it is necessary,
like the air we breathe.
i can be very honest,
debate spooks me out.
cause in high school,
i was always surrounded by these awesome debaters like Sara and Nadia.
and i always felt as if i'd never be at par with them.
but what BC said made me realize that i actually want to be heard.
i just never realized that.
and it also made me realize that my opinion matters.
cause no other person knows what i feel,
or how i think.
even if they do,
they cannot express it the exact way i would.
the message may be conveyed,
but never the way it would have if i made the speech personally.
i matter,
and it's okay to matter.
and it's okay to be scared and
it's okay to want to overcome the fear.
it's okay to want to learn.
it's okay.
and the knowledge of that is empowering and uplifting and inspiring and simply enlightening.
.
.
.
.
this semester feels different.
i have this brave and daring streak in me.
i have no idea where it came from,
but the enthusiasm to participate has returned.
and the fear of embarrassing myself has diminished to a manageable level.
this feels good.
it feel like the anticipation and butterflies before an orchestra performance.
and that feeling is beautiful.
maybe my ego is cushioned by a good week this week,
but its good.
and i hope to make it last.
this spark,
it needs to last.
i realized that being raised as a Malaysian,
i tend to be too dependable.
that;s how we are.
We depend on others to make us happy.
This semester it is the realization that choosing to do what i want to do is a good thing to depend on.
the dependancy on self sufficiency.
haha,
i wonder if that makes any sense at all.

.
.
.
law outing tomorrow,
retiring early for the night.
xx

and today Jessy is a happy girl.
Praise the Lord,
with Him, all is possible =)
Amen!
i just want this week to be over.
fast.
and hopefully good.
tired.
the weather is terrible.
finals coming along.
sleepy all the time.
not good =(
drove from malacca back to klang :D
hehe =)
dear finals,
please be good to me.
Dear Jesus,
is it too much to ask for another miracle?
Me promise to be good =)
tq!
studying for finals.
feeling sleepy all the time @@
exams always places me in this crazy mood.
can't wait for it to pass :)
People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.

doing academic essay,
for the final time.
there's a slight nostalgic feel.
semester 3 is coming to an end.
foundation is coming to an end.
oh man.
i shall miss it =(

Jasmine's Father

Tonight is the first night of "freedom".
No rushed dinners.
No rushed baths.
No running to Astana for practices.
No drawing props lists.
No script writing or memorizing
No migrations, no props repairing, no twists, no grammar checks.
Nothing.
Empty.
Hollow.
And then i realize,
i miss my team.

I miss each and every one of you.
I miss the laughter.
I miss the crazy waiting.
I miss listening to the guys' random crap shitting.
I miss listening for grammar mistakes,
and laughing at our new vocabulary.
"speaken",
"miating",
" terriblerer",
"listen to your father explain"

echoes in my mind all the time.

I miss going out on trips to buys props,
and running round and round to look for the stuff needed.
Simply put,
i miss the presence of each and every one of you around me.

We were once strangers with different paths and directions,
now,
i can't imagine what it'll be like without you people around.

Without Adrian
and his directing, camera and disallowing Shawn to sleep.
You were the glue that held us together when we were falling apart.

Without Esin
and her "i'm hungry" and commitment towards her character.
You proved that you were the best actress despite everything that the judges said.

Without Heah
and his super "geng" designing skills,
You showed us that the prettiest of things are self made.

Without Shawn
and his "My Lord" when being ignored and mosquito killing sessions,
You gave us the spark of random laughter when we needed it.

Without Heng
and his lateness and never-ending jumping on cement floors.
You thought us how to be patient.

Without Kuan
and his red props bag and speakers,
You showed us that being who you really are is the best acting skill needed.

Without WenXue
and her kesian role of being abused and crying from the start till the end,
You showed us real commitment can bring wonders.

We have come a long way.
The Jasmine's Father's crew has come a long way.
Remember our first meeting?
It was so formal and awkward.
Remember our first ever practice?
We did not even have proper names for the characters yet.
Remember our first ever performance?
We thought it was our last.
I am glad that i had you,

every one of you,

every step of the way.
with one less member,
we would not have made it to the end.
Props team included =)

Finally,
19th April 2011.
The night which made it all worth it.

That performance was the best that our team has ever shown.
The applause and cheers from the audience filled me with pride.

We did it,
we finally did it.
And guess what?
We nailed it.

In my eyes and in my heart,
we were the champions for the night,
because we exceeded our own expectations and limits.
Our best prize?
It wasn't the 500 bucks.
It wasn't the best actress or the best supporting actor awards (although those two awards were pretty damn awesome too XD)
It was the fact that for that moment in time,
we knew deep in our hearts that nothing,
nothing can ever take what we have away from us.
ever.

It has been an amazing month with you people.
One hell of an awesome month.
It is hard to believe that a month earlier,
all this did not exist.
Now, i can offhandedly recite what your preference for food.

So my dearest team,
you are a miracle sent to me this semester.
Angels without wings and saints without halos.
Brothers and sisters that God forgot to give me.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
Smile because this is not the end of the story,
Smile because it is merely the beginning of a new chapter of our friendship.
Here's to the people that made my final semester of foundation a freaking awesome one.
cheers!

Lotsa love and care,
Christine =)

p/s : all the pretty photos are edited by adrianleeyungkhin.
i was asked this question :
"how do you think your team did for the drama?"

sincerely
i think we're seriously awesome in a kick ass kind of way.
that's what i think.
we struggled hard against all odds.
we pushed through the insane lethargic periods.
although there were times where the word "i give up" flashed across all of our minds,
i still think we're awesome.
not because we made it to the finals.
not that the other teams aren't terribly good.
not because i feel like boasting about us.
its just because we are who we are,
and we're good at being who we are.
